Our Story

The dream was realized when a number of talented students from a local university were selected to create and develop what has now become our 3 pioneer snack bars. What better way to stay true to the goals of championing local talents, prioritising wholesome nutrition and doing good by contributing back to the local community.

It is the mission of the Eat for Good team that our snack bars stand for more than just “good to eat”. To fulfil the pledge of doing good, the Eat for Good team has created the Goodness Bar for the less privileged and malnourished children across our nation through our Community Support & Responsibility (CSR) program. The Goodness Bar was specifically developed by our team to address the malnutrition challenge. Together with our partners and you, we can make a difference in the community towards a better future for our nation’s children.

Meet Our Backbone

Ida Ghazali

Background:

Daughter. Sister. Mother. Friend. Workout Junkie. Corporate Slave. Group Fitness Instructor. Wife. (All in that order). Now, co-founder of an organisation that is out to do good.

Giving opportunities to local talent, stimulating the local market with homegrown products and contributing back to local communities.

Must I choose one?? I am NUTS about KASEH (love) even though I have never DATE(d) a JACK!

Baizura Tuah

Background:

I have always had a big interest in food since I was born. Passionate if I may say. Any form of food, any delicacies from any part of the world will catch my interest. Either in consuming it or preparing it.

Best part of founding EFG:

I am in constant wonder and amazement about the opportunity to do good while making great food!

After completing my Bachelor (Hons) in Food Science & Technology, Ida came to me with an opportunity for me to delve deeper and wider into the world of foods. Having the ability to research,create and develop nutritious and tasty products while helping less privileged children makes my heart content.

Fatin Izzaty 

Background:

A proud UiTM honours graduate in Food Science and Technology, I have always been passionate about giving people out there good food, hence the fascination in food processing. Meeting Ida gives me the opportunity to do so in a like-minded team with the same mission. I want to make an impact in the community, making a difference by encouraging snacking with purpose.

Best part of founding EFG:

It has to be when we first created the Dating Jack flavor by infusing jackfruit, a local favorite taste in our bars. The union of chocolate and jackfruit is surprisingly heavenly, I assure you. No other bars can possibly give this unique taste, just ours!

Siti Nurathirah Kamaliah

Background:

A lifelong food enthusiast, I majored in Food Science and Technology at UiTM, where I met Baizura and Fatin.  When Ida approached us with the idea of Eat for Good, we were hooked and straight away started our mess in the kitchen. It has been a long journey in developing the snack bars, but it was worth it as all of you now get to eat them!

I get to know such brilliant souls with amazing ideas on giving back to the local community by eating good and doing good.
